Article 9 Training

This training class covers the requirements of Arizona's Article 9 law specific to Arizona's Department of Economic Security/Division of Developmental Disabilities.

Article 9 focuses on providing positive behavior support to individuals with developmental disabilities who may have difficulty communicating. It covers rights, abuse and neglect, and reporting requirements for those who we support.

In addition, Article 9 outlines teaching methods that can be used to support people who may exhibit challenging behaviors. This course contains clear definitions of techniques that are prohibited at any time, techniques that require an approved behavior plan, and/or techniques that do not require prior approval.

This certificate is valid for 3 years

This class is for current employees and new applicants. This training is also available to the public for a $40 fee. Payments may be submitted via Zelle, exact Cash or Check.
